Lynette & Jeremy's Summer Wedding at Samuel Cedars

Some weddings are memorable because they're full of elaborate details or packed timelines.

Others are memorable because of the people.

Lynette and Jeremy's wedding at Samuel Cedars was definitely the latter.

A Wedding Worth Waiting For

Lynette had been on my calendar for a long time.

In fact, her wedding was scheduled, then briefly wasn't, and then was back on my calendar again after we worked through some unexpected life changes together.

Throughout the entire process, Lynette and Jeremy showed so much patience, kindness, and grace. Their understanding during a difficult season of my life is something I'll always remember, and it made finally getting to photograph their wedding even more meaningful.

A Very Missouri Summer Day

If I had to describe the weather in one word?

Hot.

Really, really hot.

Late June in Missouri certainly showed up, but thankfully Samuel Cedars offered plenty of beautiful spaces to work with throughout the day.

Despite the summer temperatures, Lynette and Jeremy never lost their smiles.

Sweet, Simple, and Full of Family

Their wedding day was intentionally simple.

We captured a few getting-ready moments before heading into a heartfelt ceremony surrounded by the people who meant the most to them.

One thing that stood out throughout the day was how close both families were. There was such an easy warmth between everyone, and it made every interaction feel genuine.

Lynette and Jeremy were equally sweet together. Nothing felt forced or overcomplicated—they were simply happy to be getting married.

After the ceremony, we spent some time creating portraits before finishing the evening with a few moments from the reception.

Final Thoughts

Not every wedding needs an elaborate timeline or endless events to feel meaningful.

Sometimes a beautiful ceremony, close family, a wonderful couple, and a whole lot of Missouri sunshine (and heat!) are more than enough.

Lynette and Jeremy's day was a simple celebration of the people they love most, and it was such an honor to finally be there after looking forward to it for so long.
