Six Weddings in Six Days | A Week I'll Never Forget

Wedding #1 | Lacy & Max

The week started with rain.

Lots of rain.

Thankfully, Lacy and Max never let it steal the joy from their day.

Their wedding was full of colorful DIY details, with pops of teal and pink throughout the celebration. Lacy's mom even brought two full bouquets just for my flat lay detail photos, which was such an incredible gift as a photographer.

The sweetest unexpected moment happened while everyone was waiting for the bridal party to make their way down the hill to the chapel. Max casually sat down at the piano and started playing. Without saying a word, Lacy walked over and wrapped her arms around him from behind.

Nobody planned it.

Nobody posed it.

It simply happened.

Those photographs are still some of my favorites I've ever taken.

Because of the rain, bridal party portraits stayed indoors, but after the ceremony we were finally able to sneak outside for portraits.

Then Lacy looked at me, pointed to the swing, and asked, "Can I stand on it?"

My response?

"Say less."

Those portraits turned out every bit as fun as you'd imagine.

And of course, even though the rain had mostly stopped, we couldn't resist finishing with a classic kiss under the umbrella.

Wedding #2 | Heather & William

Heather and William's story felt like something straight out of a movie.

They first met over 35 years ago in college.

Heather was actually William's very first friend.

Life eventually took them in different directions. They each married, built families, experienced loss, and stayed in touch through the years.

Then, several years ago, life brought them back together.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Their wedding was full of family.

Heather's daughters helped her get ready. Her uncle walked her down the aisle. William's daughter proudly served as flower girl.

Rain made another appearance (Spring 2026 really had a theme), but we were still able to photograph both indoors and outdoors throughout the day.

The reception was exactly what suited them best—good food, cake, conversation, and celebrating with the people who had walked alongside them through so many chapters of life.

Wedding #3 | Jacqueline & Daniel

Wedding number three was a simple one-hour elopement.

Small.

Sweet.

Easy.

The couple's children were adorable, their families were wonderful, and the entire celebration was exactly what it needed to be.

The funniest part?

About an hour before the ceremony I managed to slip and completely bust up my knee.

Apparently wedding photographers aren't immune to workplace injuries.

Thankfully nothing was seriously hurt, so the show went on—just with a slightly less graceful photographer behind the camera.

Weddings #4–6

Yes.

Three weddings.

One day.

Believe it or not, this actually isn't uncommon at Stonegate Glass Chapel. Every year we usually have a couple of days where multiple micro weddings are scheduled back-to-back.

It's busy.

It's fast-paced.

And somehow it's always fun.

Amanda & Michael

Amanda and Michael's wedding was incredibly intimate.

Just the bride's mom and the groom's parents gathered to celebrate with them.

Amanda wore a timeless satin gown with a long train and veil that felt absolutely perfect for a summer wedding.

There were lots of happy tears, lots of hugs after the ceremony, and such a genuine sweetness between everyone there.

She even let me film a bustle tutorial for social media afterward, which deserves a huge thank-you in itself.

Mercedes & Anthony

Mercedes and Anthony originally planned to marry in October before life unexpectedly shifted their plans.

Sometimes weddings don't happen exactly when we imagine they will—but that doesn't make them any less meaningful.

Their celebration included around thirty guests, a joyful receiving line after the ceremony, and one of my favorite bubble exits of the season.

Sometimes simple really is best.

Maddy & Lane

The final wedding of the week was...a whirlwind.

Their entire celebration lasted just two hours, and Maddy had every minute planned intentionally.

I'll admit, I got a little nervous when she handed me her photography shot list before the ceremony.

She had quite a few detail images and portraits she hoped to fit into the short window before guests arrived.

Challenge accepted.

Not only did we get everything photographed—we ended up creating some of my favorite detail images I've ever taken.

Maddy proudly described herself as a "Type A bride," complete with inspiration photos and detailed notes.

Honestly?

I loved it.

When time is limited, clear communication makes everything easier.

We also leaned into a slightly more dramatic portrait style than I usually do.

At one point, Maddy happily climbed onto one of the chapel ledges—in her wedding dress—for some incredibly dramatic bridal portraits.

Completely worth it.

Final Thoughts

Would I recommend photographing six weddings in six days?

Probably not.

Would I do it again?

Honestly...probably.

It stretched me creatively, reminded me to stay flexible, and gave me six completely different stories to tell—all in one unforgettable week.

Looking back now, I don't remember feeling tired nearly as much as I remember feeling grateful.

And that's a pretty wonderful way to remember one of the busiest weeks of my career.
