Some weddings prove that you don't need a huge guest list or an all-day celebration to create something incredibly beautiful.

Victoria and Brandon's intimate wedding at Stonegate Glass Chapel was one of those days.

While I don't typically feature many micro weddings on the blog, this one deserved a spot. Every detail felt intentional, their little family was absolutely precious, and thanks to a little unexpected extra time, we created some of my favorite portraits from the spring.

Wildflower-Inspired Details

Victoria planned a color palette that immediately caught my attention.

Soft shades of pink, purple, yellow, and dusty blue gave the day a cheerful, wildflower-inspired feel that was perfect for late May. Paired with Brandon's dusty blue suit, everything felt fresh, romantic, and effortlessly elegant.

And then there was the dress.

Victoria's gown featured dramatic puff sleeves paired with one of the most unique veils I've photographed—a beautifully ruffled edge that added so much movement and personality. Every time the breeze caught it, it created another opportunity for gorgeous portraits.

The Sweetest Little Family

One of my favorite parts of the day was getting to photograph Victoria and Brandon with their two little boys.

They were some of the sweetest - and honestly some of the best-behaved - kids I've ever had the pleasure of photographing. You could immediately tell how loved they were, and watching the four of them together made the day feel incredibly personal.

We even managed to get some adorable smiles out of Baby C., which always feels like a little victory.

Those family moments ended up being some of my favorites from the entire gallery.

When Extra Time Becomes a Gift

One thing I always tell couples is that extra time almost never goes to waste.

We intentionally built additional portrait time into the timeline because we weren't sure how long the floral installation and tear-down would take. As it turned out, everything came together much faster than expected.

Instead of feeling rushed, we suddenly found ourselves with nearly an extra hour together.

That extra time gave us the freedom to slow down, explore, and create something a little different.

Chasing the Best Light

One of the highlights of the day was heading out for portraits along a quiet country road near the venue.

Late May in Missouri is hard to beat. Bright blue skies, vibrant green trees, and just enough warmth to make everything feel alive.

The combination of the dramatic veil, the colorful florals, and that beautiful spring landscape created portraits that felt timeless while still reflecting the joy of the day.

Sometimes the simplest locations end up creating the most memorable images.
