Kaitlyn & Ben’s Stonegate Glass Chapel Wedding

Kaitlyn and Ben were married on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Stonegate Glass Chapel, and this was one that had been a long time coming. After being booked for over 18 months, there was definitely a lot of anticipation leading up to their day — and it absolutely delivered.

A Day I Was Excited (and a Little Nervous) For

I’ll be honest — I went into this wedding with a few nerves. There were several vendors I hadn’t worked with before, including a videographer I had admired for years, which felt a little intimidating at first. But it ended up being such a great experience. Working alongside a new team pushed me out of my normal routine in the best way, and we even tried a new approach to first looks that I will definitely be using more going forward.

Kaitlyn is also a bit of a local celebrity in our area, so there was just that extra layer of wanting everything to go perfectly. Thankfully, once the day started, everything settled into place.

Starting the Day at Chateau on the Lake

We began the day at Chateau on the Lake Resort Spa & Convention Center, where Ben was getting ready with his groomsmen and dad. They were all-in from the start — fun, relaxed, and completely up for some group photos, which made for a great start to the day.

Pink Details and Getting Ready at Stonegate

After that, we headed to Stonegate for detail photos, and Kaitlyn’s color palette was beautiful shades of pink that felt soft but still full of personality. Getting ready flowed easily, and before long, it was time for one of the most anticipated parts of the day.

First Look and Adjusting the Timeline

Kaitlyn and Ben shared a first look before the ceremony, and it was such a sweet, grounding moment for both of them. We were running just a little bit behind at that point, so we made the call to move bridal party photos to after the ceremony — one of those small timeline shifts that makes a big difference in keeping the day feeling relaxed instead of rushed.

A Packed Ceremony with Meaningful Moments

Their ceremony was full in every sense of the word — standing room only. The energy in the chapel was incredible. They shared personal vows, which always adds such a meaningful layer to the ceremony. And then… a little unexpected moment — some wasp and bug drama. Everything was totally fine, but I did find myself stepping in for a second to make sure nothing made its way into the dress. Just one of those real-life wedding day moments you can’t plan for. They also included a really unique unity ceremony, pouring epoxy into a tray that held their invitation along with two Polaroids from the day — something they’ll be able to keep and display in their home. Such a creative and personal touch.

Portraits, Outfit Changes, and a Perfect Evening

After the ceremony, we moved through family photos and bridal party photos before grabbing a few portraits of Kaitlyn and Ben. Kaitlyn had added long sleeves to her dress that could be removed depending on the weather — and thankfully, the weather cooperated. The transition gave her a second look without needing a full outfit change just yet. The reception was lively from the start — lots of mingling, incredible energy, and truly some of the best toasts I’ve heard in a long time.

Sunset, Outfit Changes, and a Full Dance Floor

Sunset photos were absolutely gorgeous. That soft evening light at Stonegate never disappoints, and this was no exception. After sunset, Kaitlyn changed again — yes, three looks total — and came back ready for a full night of dancing. The reception picked up in the best way, and the dance floor stayed full.

Ending the Night with a Sparkler Exit

They wrapped up the night with a sparkler send-off, which always feels like the perfect high-energy ending to a full day.

Final Thoughts

This wedding came at the end of a very full stretch for me — four weddings in a row, in the middle of renovating a 130-year-old house, and while dealing with some pretty rough upper respiratory stuff. I could definitely feel it physically. But days like this remind me why I love what I do.

Kaitlyn and Ben’s wedding was joyful, full of life, and filled with people who showed up ready to celebrate them well. Even with a few unexpected moments and a packed timeline, everything came together in a way that felt effortless.

And those are always the weddings that stick with you.
