Missouri weddings are… kind of their own thing. And I don’t mean that in a gimmicky “every place is special” way - I mean it very literally, from lighting to timelines to how the day actually feels. After photographing weddings all across southwest Missouri (and a little beyond), I’ve learned that Missouri weddings come with their own set of patterns, challenges, and honestly, a lot of charm. If you’re planning a wedding here, understanding what makes Missouri weddings different can help you make better decisions - especially when it comes to photos.
The Seasons Matter More Than You Think
Missouri has real seasons. Like… all of them. Sometimes in the same week.
Spring weddings can be absolutely beautiful, but they often come with rain, unpredictable temperatures, and fast-growing greenery that changes week to week.
