Orange, Blue, and Country Views | Olivia & Spencer’s Elegant Summer Wedding

Olivia & Spencer’s wedding day was such a fun blend of down-to-earth charm and elegant touches - one of those weddings that felt beautifully personal from start to finish.

The day started at a gorgeous Airbnb where everyone got ready. The details were a bold and unexpected color combo of orange and blue, and I loved how it all came together - vibrant, summery, and totally them. Olivia and Spencer chose to share a first look and private vows before the ceremony, and let me just say… it was one of the best first look reactions I’ve seen all year. So genuine, so emotional, and just the sweetest way to start the day together.

After their first look, we took a short drive to a nearby creek for some couples’ portraits. Totally worth it - even if it meant moving car seats and playing chauffeur for a bit! The light, the location, and the peaceful vibe of the water made it all feel extra special.

Back at the Airbnb, we photographed the bridal party. There was a small hiccup when the guys’ boutonnieres accidentally ended up at the ceremony site, but we made it work. By the time we wrapped up photos with the girls, the flowers had made their way back to us and the timing worked out perfectly.

Speaking of the ceremony space - when I first talked with Olivia and Spencer, they were a little unsure about it. They were using a family-owned building that’s normally used for auctions, and they weren’t sure how it would translate for a wedding. But they absolutely transformed it. It felt warm, welcoming, and so full of love.

And then… the light. I still can’t get over the field behind the building. At first glance, it didn’t look like anything special - but the way the sun was hitting one patch of tall grass during golden hour? Glorious. I could’ve photographed them there all evening.

We ended the night with a beautiful bubble exit - another reminder of how much I love summer weddings with earlier exits. More light, less stress, and a perfect wrap to a really meaningful day.

This also happened to be wedding number 15 for me this May (yes, really). I was definitely feeling the end-of-month exhaustion, but I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter couple to close things out with. Olivia and Spencer were gracious, easygoing, and just so clearly in love - one of those couples that make it all worth it.

Congratulations, Olivia & Spencer! Wishing you all the happiness in this next chapter together.
