My Favorite Wedding Venues in Missouri (with Real Wedding Galleries)
Missouri may not always be the first place that comes to mind when people think of dreamy wedding locations, but if you ask me? It should be. From rolling hills and hidden creeks to all-white chapels and twinkle-lit gardens, there are so many beautiful wedding venues tucked into the heart of the Midwest.
As a wedding photographer who’s shot at dozens of Missouri venues (and, okay, happens to co-own two of them), I’ve gotten to know what makes a venue work. These are some of my absolute favorites - each one unique, photogenic, and full of charm. I’ve also linked a few real weddings I’ve photographed at each venue so you can see them in action!
Stonegate Glass Chapel
Before I went full-time into photography, I actually ran Stonegate full-time - and I still manage it part-time. So when I say I know this place inside and out, I mean it. It’s a modern glass chapel surrounded by trees, and it is truly stunning in every season. Spring blooms, summer greens, fall leaves, winter frost - it’s always beautiful.
All-white and black = timeless and clean in photos
Indoor chapel (hello, A/C)
Surrounded by trees so it feels like a little enchanted forest
Photographs beautifully in both golden hour and cloudy light
Downside? The hill. I joke that I need a recovery day after Stonegate weddings because that hill is no joke when you’re hauling gear. Totally worth it, though.

Samuel Cedars
This is the venue I grew up at - literally. I spent my childhood helping with weddings here, and I even got married here myself. So yeah, it holds a special place in my heart.
Gorgeous outdoor ceremony space with a huge reception hall
The bridal suite is amazing (seriously - spacious, great light, perfect for photos)
Twinkle lights everywhere
My dad does the landscaping, and it shows
Everything is easy to get to (no hill like Stonegate!)
One challenge: The sun can hit a little harshly on the ceremony site depending on the time of day, so we always recommend timing your ceremony carefully to avoid harsh light and shadows.
Haseltine Estate
If you’re dreaming of a garden ceremony, this place is it. Haseltine Estate feels like an elegant secret garden tucked just outside of Springfield.
All outdoor spaces, including the reception under a stunning white gazebo
Huge bridal suite with beautiful natural light
Ivy-covered stonework and mature trees everywhere you turn
Just a super serene, magical vibe overall
Downside? The groom’s suite lighting isn’t the best, and if rain is in the forecast, you’ll need to make a call early since the backup plan is a tent setup.
The Barn at Belamour
This venue leans a bit more rustic, but still feels elevated and charming. The property is peaceful, and the landscaping is well-kept without feeling overdone.
Great option for couples wanting that rustic but refined vibe
Mature trees and landscaping for portraits
The bridal suite is HUGE and doubles as an overnight stay space
Outdoor ceremony space, indoor reception
Downside: The indoor reception space is a little tight for large groups, so most couples opt to move dancing outside - which can actually be really fun if you want space for both dancing and conversation.

The Venue at Shadow Rock
This is one of the newer venues I’ve gotten to shoot at, and it’s quickly become a favorite. It’s clean, modern, and surrounded by beautiful nature.
Outdoor chapel with a stylish indoor reception hall
White, black, and natural wood tones = super modern aesthetic
Gorgeous tree line for portraits
Best part? The overlook down the road for sunset portraits is unbeatable
Bonus: there’s a vendor lounge (which I appreciate!)
The catch: Like Samuel Cedars, the sun can be a little tricky at the ceremony site depending on timing, but again - it’s manageable with good planning.

At the end of the day, your venue sets the tone for your whole wedding day - and choosing one that feels like you is key. Whether you're drawn to a peaceful forest chapel, an elegant garden setting, or a clean and modern space, Missouri has a venue to match.
And if you’re still venue-hunting? I'd be happy to connect you with venue tours at Stonegate or Samuel Cedars - or answer any questions about the ones I’ve photographed elsewhere. You can always reach out or check out my wedding packages here.
Your dream venue is closer than you think - and I’d love to help you capture it.
