Kristy & Joey’s Classic, Elegant Fall Wedding at Stonegate Glass Chapel

Kristy & Joey’s wedding at Stonegate Glass Chapel was one of those perfectly relaxed, love-filled days that just felt like fall in the best way. The morning started off foggy but quickly turned into some of the most beautiful golden light — soft, glowy, and perfect for early October. Every part of the day screamed classy and elegant, from the timeless details to their effortless first dance.

Getting Ready at the Chapel

The day began with detail photos while Joey and his groomsmen put the finishing touches on the reception hall. (I always love when the guys jump in to help — and they did such a great job!)

Meanwhile, Kristy was getting ready with her two sisters. The three of them were such a team — they had that dress corset down to a science. You could tell they’d practiced!

First Look & Bridal Party Photos

Kristy & Joey shared their first look inside the chapel, and it was such a sweet moment. Joey’s reaction said it all — lots of tears, lots of love, and just pure joy.

Afterward, we went right into bridal party photos while the lighting outside was still soft and dreamy.

An Intimate Ceremony

The ceremony was beautifully simple and intimate, with only about 25 guests in attendance. Kristy & Joey’s personal vows were so perfectly balanced — sweet, sincere, and thoughtful without being over the top. (And if you’ve ever been to a wedding where one person writes a full novel while the other keeps it short and sweet, you know that’s an impressive feat!)

Golden Light Portraits & a Dress Change

After family photos, we took advantage of that gorgeous early fall light for more portraits of Kristy & Joey. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, and the light added the most beautiful glow to their photos.

And then — one of my favorite parts of the day — a fun dress change! Kristy switched into a second look for the reception, which added a touch of glamour and made for the best dancing photos later on.

A Sweet Surprise at the Reception

During dinner, I snuck away for one of my favorite behind-the-scenes traditions: creating the printed photo book. Throughout the day, I sync a handful of photos from my camera to my phone and print them on my Instax printer. Then I gift the couple a mini photo book before the night ends.

Kristy & Joey’s reaction was priceless — they were so tickled by it! I’m pretty sure every guest saw the book by the end of the night. It’s one of those small things that makes the day feel instantly tangible again.

Dancing the Night Away

The reception was the perfect mix of classy and fun — the kind of night where everyone feels at ease and everything just flows. And I have to mention their first dance… it was easily one of the best coordinated dances I’ve ever seen. They were so relaxed yet perfectly in sync — it felt professional but still completely them.

As the night went on, the dance floor stayed lively, the laughter never stopped, and the whole evening wrapped up exactly how it began: full of joy, love, and effortless elegance.
