Amy & Samuel’s Sweet Dusty Blue Wedding at Stonegate Glass Chapel

I had been looking forward to Amy & Samuel’s wedding ever since their engagement session back in May. They were so kind, easygoing, and genuinely sweet to be around — and their wedding day was exactly the same. With a timeless color scheme of dusty blue, sage, and white, plus countless personal touches, their Stonegate Glass Chapel wedding was truly unforgettable.

Sentimental Details

We started the day with details — and oh my goodness, these were some of my favorites to date. Not only were they beautiful, but they were deeply meaningful.

Amy wore her grandmother’s earrings, a piece of jewelry that carried so much history. She even brought along a photo of her grandmother wearing those exact earrings the very first time she came to meet Amy as a baby. Talk about full-circle.

Even the ring box had history — a vintage piece her grandmother had collected during her travels around the world. It was the perfect way to weave heritage and memory into the wedding day.

Getting Ready & Family First Looks

Amy & Sam chose not to have a bridal party, which gave the morning such a relaxed, intimate feel. Instead of the hustle of bridesmaids and groomsmen, it was just time with family — quiet, calm, and so genuine.

Amy shared a sweet first look with her dad that perfectly reflected their tight-knit bond. You could just feel the love in the room.

Then came Amy & Sam’s own first look. As the rain began to fall, we moved everything into the chapel. The moment was so tender — they read private vows to one another, full of emotion and sincerity, while the rain pattered softly outside.

A Ceremony Full of Love (and One Adorable Guest)

The rain may have kept us inside, but the glow of the glass chapel made every moment magical. The ceremony was heartfelt and sweet — with a surprise star of the show: Lucy, Amy & Sam’s puppy.

For the first time in my career, the marriage license was signed right there in the middle of the ceremony. It was such a fun, memorable twist, and it made everything feel so official in real time.

Portraits in the Rain

Because of the drizzle, most portraits stayed indoors — and honestly, the soft light of the chapel was so dreamy, I didn’t want to leave it anyway. When we did step outside, Amy & Sam rocked the clear umbrellas for some of my favorite rainy-day shots. Sometimes the weather really does add to the story of the day.

A Family-Centered Reception

The reception was every bit as heartfelt as the ceremony. Guests heard five different speeches, each touching in its own way. Amy & Sam shared a sweet cake cutting, played the shoe game (a crowd favorite), and kicked off the dancing with a choreographed first dance — which I think we’ll be seeing more of in weddings to come.

The night continued with a father-daughter dance, a mother-son dance, and plenty of laughter and celebration. Every part of the day reflected not just Amy & Sam’s love for each other, but the love their families share for them, too.

Final Thoughts

Amy & Samuel’s wedding at Stonegate Glass Chapel was the definition of sweet — from sentimental details to emotional private vows to a family-centered celebration. Even the rain couldn’t dampen the joy of the day. Surrounded by love, laughter, and just a touch of puppy cuteness, Amy & Sam’s September wedding was a story worth remembering.
