Lana & Trey’s Elegant Spring Engagement Session at All Saints Anglican Church
Lana & Trey’s engagement session at All Saints Anglican Church ended up being one of my favorites this spring—proof that sometimes the most last-minute plans turn out the best. We scheduled their session just a week before we actually shot it. With their wedding still a year away, we weren’t originally sure if we’d squeeze in an engagement session at all, especially since they’re from out of town and were only in the area for a short window. Weekday availability can be tricky when travel is involved, and this happened to be the one week Trey had off work—so I’m extra glad we made it work.
The morning light at All Saints that day was unreal. I’ve photographed there before, but this was honestly some of the best light I’ve ever seen at the church. It had that soft, golden, early spring glow—flattering from every angle and so peaceful with the quiet stillness of the morning. Lana & Trey’s formal outfits brought such a classic, polished look to the session that matched the architecture of the space beautifully.
Trey is actually a photographer himself, though he usually focuses on things like cars—not people. At one point during the session, I told him my husband always says I’m terrible at taking pictures of cars, so clearly we each have our own lane! It was fun chatting shop for a moment, and I was genuinely touched when he commented that he could tell how much I love what I do. That kind of thing always sticks with me.
Their wedding next May at Stonegate Glass Chapel is going to be an absolute dream, and I’m already so excited to have them in front of my camera again.
