Brittany & Alex’s Sweet Family Wedding at Stonegate Glass Chapel

Brittany & Alex’s wedding at Stonegate Glass Chapel was such a beautiful, family-centered day—one of those weddings that just sticks with you in the best way. Held on April 26, 2025, it was an intimate celebration with their closest loved ones, and the entire day was filled with so many sweet, meaningful moments.

The details were stunning—lots of soft pinks and delicate touches that gave everything such a romantic feel. I always love starting the day with detail photos, and this wedding had plenty of pretty things to capture. Before the ceremony, we had not one, but several first looks, and each one was incredibly sweet. Brittany shared a first look with her mom, her dad, and her two brothers before seeing Alex for the first time. Every one of those moments felt so genuine—you could really feel the love between them all.

We were able to do all the bridal party photos before the ceremony, which is always such a win. It gave Brittany & Alex more time to enjoy the rest of the day, and everything flowed so smoothly. The ceremony itself was especially touching. Brittany’s dad, who had a stroke about four years ago, had been working incredibly hard ever since she got engaged so that he could walk her—at least part of the way—down the aisle. And he did. It was one of the most moving moments of the day, and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room.

After a joyful sendoff from the ceremony, we moved into family photos and then took a few more portraits of Brittany & Alex. With the humidity kicking in (thanks, Missouri spring!), we kept portraits efficient so they could head to the reception and celebrate with their families.

Dinner was amazing, provided by Catering Creations, and the reception details were just as thoughtful as the rest of the day. A few months before the wedding, Brittany had come up with the idea for Alex’s dad to make personalized birdhouses for several of their close family members. Birds symbolize love and new beginnings, and she wanted guests to take home a symbol of the day that really meant something. It was such a unique and meaningful touch.

The dances were beautiful, too. Brittany & Alex shared their first dance, followed by both a mother-daughter and father-daughter dance for Brittany. Her dad stood up for the dance, and again—it was such an emotional moment. I definitely cried, which isn’t anything new for me at weddings, especially since having kids myself.

All in all, it was the sweetest day. Wishing Brittany & Alex nothing but the best as they start this new chapter together!
